    Why this recipe works:

Festive Halloween cocktails are the perfect way to celebrate the spooky season! Just check out my Practical Magic Midnight Margaritas, Hocus Pocus I Put a Spell on you Cocktail, Adams Family Gomez and Morticia Cocktail, and Hocus Pocus Black Flame Candle Cocktail!

This cocktail is perfect for a Halloween party or to serve a group! It's easy and so fun and impressive. Just combine all the cocktail ingredients in a punch bowl with ice and then fill glasses with cotton candy and let your guests fill their glasses and watch the cotton candy disappear!

    Key Ingredients:

Ingredients for the punch on a spider web lined table.

Prosecco: this cocktail's base is a bubbly Prosecco! Use any bubbles you like; champagne or cava would be equally delicious.

Pomegranate Juice: pomegranate juice is fruity, tart, and a little bit earthy and is the perfect seasonal fruit juice for a spooky fall cocktail. Be sure to buy 100% pure pomegranate juice with no added sugars.

Cinnamon Simple Syrup: this recipe calls for homemade cinnamon syrup. It is incredibly easy to make and provides a lot of warm autumnal flavor to the punch!

Cotton Candy: cotton candy adds a little extra sweetness and a lot of fun Halloween flare! Pick a flavor that pairs well with this recipe; I used cherry from Target.

    See recipe card for quantities.

    How to make this recipe:

Pomegranate juice being added to a silver punch bowl filled with large cubes iced.

Start by adding ice, pomegranate juice, and Cointreau to a punch bowl.

Cinnamon sticks and syrup sitting on top of the pomegranate juice.

Add in the cinnamon syrup, including the cinnamon sticks and star anise.

Prosecco being poured into the punch bowl.

Top with Prosecco and add orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and pomegranate seeds.

Skull hand wine glass filled with pink cotton candy and garnished with fake spider.

Fill glasses with cotton candy and sanitized spiders.

Punch being poured over the cotton candy.

Pour the punch over the cotton candy.

Overhead shot of wine glass filled with punch and garnished with oranges, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.

Garnish with orange slices and cinnamon sticks.

    Tips for success:

Use large ice cubes so that the punch will stay chilled but not dilute the cocktail as quickly as smaller cubes.

Garnish with fun Halloween props! Plastic eyeballs, spiders, and skulls are all great additions. Just remember to clean anything you are adding to the drink thoroughly!

This punch serves 5, but you could easily make it for a larger group by doubling it to the following measurements.

    • 2 bottles Prosecco
    • 1 ½ cups pomegranate juice
    • ¼ cup Cointreau
    • 1 cup cinnamon simple syrup (double syrup recipe)
Overhead shot of wine glass filled with punch and garnished with oranges, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.
