  1. 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  2. 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  3. 1 large egg
  4. 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/2 cup chocolate chips 

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Then cream together the butter and the two sugars in with a mixer until fluffy and well mixed.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla and mix until combined.
  4. Add the flour and salt and mix until just combined.
  5. Finally, mix in the chocolate chips and until evenly dispersed.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough for at least 30 minutes. 
  7. Using a tablespoon scoop out cookie dough and roll into about 1 inch balls and place onto two baking sheets and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are browned.
