Description

Strawberry simple syrup is the perfect way to flavor cocktails, lemonadesor any drink that would benefit from some fresh strawberry flavor!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  1. 1 cup water
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. Scant 2 cups cut strawberries

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing the strawberries. If using frozen, you can skip this step.
  2. Add the strawberries, sugar, and water to a small saucepan.
  3. Simmer but don't boil the mixture until all the sugar has dissolved and the strawberries have softened and paled.
  4. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, and then strain the strawberries.
  5. Transfer the syrup to an airtight container and chill or serve!
