Description

These blueberry biscuits combine tart and sweet frozen blueberries with soft and flakey biscuits!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/'2 cup butter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries - preferably Wyman's

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and make the biscuits.
  2. Add the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda to a medium bowl.
  3. Cut the butter into the flour mixure.
  4. Add in the milk and honey and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the blueberries.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly dusted surface.
  7. Roll and fold the dough. Dust flour between the layers if the dough is too wet.
  8. Cut out your biscuits and place them right next to each other on a lined baking sheet.
  9. Brush with melted butter.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are browned.

Notes

  • If the dough is too wet from the blueberries, keep dusting in more flour.
