Description

This frozen bourbon old fashioned is your favorite cocktail turned frosty and frozen! It's frozen orange slices, brown sugar syrup, frozen cherries, bitters, bourbon, and ice blended until smoot

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 of a frozen orange divided into wedges (about 5 wedges)
  • 2 -3 frozen cherries
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce brown sugar simple syrup
  • 3 dashes bitters
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Start by freezing fresh orange wedges until frozen.
  2. Add 1/2 a frozen orange (about 5 wedges), 3 frozen cherries, 1/2 ounce brown sugar syrup, 2 ounces bourbon, and 3 dashes of bitters to a blender.
  3. Top 1 cup ice and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour into a glass and garnish with an orange wedge and cherry.

Notes

To make brown sugar syrup:

  • Cook 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 cup of water in a small pot on medium heat until all the sugar has melted.

If the mixture is too thick add 1 ounce water at a time to the drink until you have the consistency you are looking for.
