Description

This espresso martini float is my dream cocktail and dessert; it combines my goto espresso martini recipe (plus a little chocolate liqueur) and ice cream for an absolutely out-of-the-world experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 shot of freshly brewed espresso (about 1.5 ounces)
  • 1/2 ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce chocolate liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce brown sugar syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 scoops peppermint, vanilla, or chocolate ice cream (or your favorite that would also pair well with espresso)

Instructions

  1. Start by brewing 1 shot of espresso.
  2. Then Add the 1 ½ ounces of bourbon, the shot of espresso, ½ ounce of coffee liqueur, ½ ounce of chocolate liqueur, ½ ounce of brown sugar syrup, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla.
  3. Top with ice and shake vigorously.
  4. Add 3-4 scoops (or as much as you like!) ice cream to a glass big enough to hold the ice cream and martini.
  5. Top with the shaken cocktail and garnish with peppermint shards, chocolate sauce, or shaved chocolate.
