Description

This is Bourbon, and Sherry Manhattan is my ideal Manhattan! It's perfectly smooth, slightly sweet, and is full of good whiskey flavor. The key to this recipe is PX sherry, your favorite Bourbon, and toasted almond bitters.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1/4-1/2 ounce PX sherry
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • 1 Dash Toasted Almond Bitters

Instructions

  1. Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer.
  2. Add 2 ounces of good bourbon, 1/4-1/2 ounce PX Sherry, 1 dash Angostura Bitters, and 1 dash of Toasted Almond bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
  3. Stir until well chilled.
  4. Pour into chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish with a cherry and/or orange.

Notes

Suggested Barware: Use a jigger to measure your Bourbon and liqueur accurately. Also, using a cocktail stirrer is beneficial because it fits so well around the ice.

Chill both your mixing glass and cocktail glass before making.

Fabbri Amarena Cherries or Luxardo Cherries are my go-to cherries for a Manhattan.
