This apple butter old fashioned is the perfect fall cocktail. It combines apple butter, apple cider, Rosemary syrup, cinnamon bitters, and Angostura bitters. It's all the best flavors of fall combined in one drink and it is an absolute must-make for fall!

Rosemary syrup:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2-3 rosemary sprigs
Cocktail
- 1 tablespoon apple butter
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 1 ounce apple cider
- 1/2 ounce rosemary syrup
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1 dash of cinnamon bitters.
Instructions
- Start by making the rosemary syrup. Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 2-3 rosemary sprigs in a small pot. Cook until the sugar has dissolved, let cool, then strain.
- Next, add ice to a mixing glass, then top with 1 tablespoon of apple butter and 2 ounces of bourbon.
- Top that with 1 ounce of apple cider, 1/2 ounce of rosemary syrup, 1 dash of Angostura bitters, and 1 dash of cinnamon bitters. Stir to combine.
- Pour into rock glasses filled with ice and garnish with rosemary, apple slices, and cinnamon.
