Who doesn't love a sweet gooey s'more around a campfire in the summer or fall? Well, this s'more old fashioned takes all those flavors and turns them into a delicious bourbon cocktail!

For the syrup:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla
For the cocktail:
- 1 1/2 ounce bourbon
- 3/4 ounce syrup
- 1 dash angostura bitters
- 2 dashes of chocolate bitters
- Shaved chocolate
- Toasted marshmallows
Instructions
- Start by making the syrup by combining 1/4 cup honey, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3 cinnamon sticks, and 1 cup water in a saucepan. Heat on medium until the sugar has melted, then remove from heat and add 1 tsp of vanilla. Let cool then strain.
- Add a large ice cube to a rocks glass, then top it with 1 1/2 ounces of bourbon (you can also make this in a mixing glass, then pour it into a rocks glass with ice once mixed).
- Top with 3/4 ounces of the syrup, then 1 dash Angostura bitters and 2 dashes chocolate bitters. Stir to combine.
- Toast 2 marshmallows and garnish the drink.
Notes
Store the leftover syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Toast the marshmallows on a heat-safe stick with a kitchen torch on medium-low for quick and easy toasted marshmallows.
