Description

Batched Freezer-Door Old-Fashioned is my signature old fashionedIts perfectly balanced with brown sugar, cherry, bitters, and bourbon.


Ingredients

Supplies:

  • 32-ounce air-tight bottle

Brown Sugar Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Batched old fashioned

  • 3 1/4 cups bourbon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar syrup
  • 1 ounce Luxardo cherry syrup
  • 25 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
  • 1 ounce water

Instructions

  1. Start by making the brown sugar syrup. Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of brown sugar to a small saucepan and heat on medium until all the sugar has dissolved. Let cool, then strain. 
  2. Using a funnel, pour 3 1/4 cups of bourbon, 1/2 cup of the brown sugar syrup, 1 ounce of syrup from a Luxardo cherry jar, 25 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters,  and 1 ounce of water into the 32-ounce bottle. 
  3. Seal and give it a shake to mix and either serve 2.5 ounces over ice or store in the freezer. 

Notes

Store in the freezer for months.
