This peach bourbon slush is the perfect drink for when you are craving refreshing and fruity bourbon slushies! Frozen peaches and peach liqueur make this slushie absolutely bursting with fresh peach flavor!

A little fresh thyme also balances and enhances the flavor to make this the best peach cocktail!

Why you will love this recipe:

Summer cocktails are the best cocktails, and frozen peaches mean that you can make this year-round!

Bourbon slushies are a big deal during summer here in Kentucky, and there are so many wonderful flavors available all summer, but my absolute favorite are the peach ones!

Peach and bourbon are the perfect pairing; their sweetness perfectly compliments each other.

Ingredients for the cocktail lined up on a brown table.

    Key Ingredients:

Bourbon: a sweet or smooth bourbon is perfect for this slush. Use a good medium to top tier bourbon; this is not the time to use a cheap one. My gotos are Woodford Reserve, Angeles Envy, and Buffalo Trace.

Frozen Peaches: frozen peaches are best for achieving a smooth frozen texture. Fresh peaches will make more of a bourbon peach smoothie (which also sounds great!).

Peach Liqueur: a little liqueur adds a more concentrated peach flavor to the cocktail. Using a high-quality peach liqueur ensures the best peach flavor. I used Drillaud for this recipe, but Mathilde is also wonderful!

Ginger Beer: ginger beer adds a little subtle flavor and adds enough liquid to the cocktail so that the cocktail is able to blend smoothly.

Thyme: fresh thyme deepens the flavor of the peaches and gives just a slightly earthy flavor to the cocktail that gives it a sophisticated edge and sets this recipe above all the others.

    Step by step instructions:

This is so easy to make! This recipe is for one cocktail, but use the multiplier tool in the recipe card to make a pitcher!

    1. Add the frozen peaches to a blender.
    2. Add in the bourbon, liqueur, ginger beer, and lemon juice.
    3. Sprinkle in the fresh thyme.
    4. Top off with ice.
    5. Blend until smooth!

    Tips for success:

    • Use frozen peaches. Using fresh ones will make more of a smoothie than a slushie.
    • Use good quality bourbon and peach liqueur for the best and more authentic flavor.
    • Add more ginger beer if the cocktail isn't blending well.

    FAQ:

Can I use fresh or frozen peaches?

Only frozen peaches will do for a slush, fresh ones will make more of a smoothie.

What bourbon is best to use for a bourbon slush?

Use a good medium to top tier bourbon; this is not the time to use a cheap one. My gotos are Woodford Reserve, Angeles Envy, and Buffalo Trace.
